Update Grey Dress

Hello Fashionistas,


wie versprochen, ein paar neue Bilder vom Werdegang meines grauen Kleides. Im Prinzip hat sich optisch noch nicht viel geändert, aber es ist jetzt schon viel mehr fertig genäht und versäumt. Hauptsächlich ist also das Oberteil fertig, wobei ich da noch ein paar Verbesserungsarbeiten vornehmen möchte, wie ihr gleich sehen werdet.
as promised some new pictures of the development of my grey dress. It hasn't change that much actually, but a lot more is finished in sewing and seaming. Particulary the top is done, still I have to work out a lot of changes as you'll see.

Der rote Kreis zeigt, dass sich die Taille da etwas vorwölbt - was natürlich nicht sein darf. Der schwarze Bund kam hinzu, weil der Rock sonst zu weit oben gesessen hätte. Da das Oberteil aber nicht gerade endete, musste ich meine Nahtlinie selbst finden - und die muss seitlich jetzt noch etwas höher gelegt werden, damit sich das nicht mehr ausbeult.
Über die Form des Rockes grüble ich auch noch etwas. So an sich, sieht es nicht schlecht aus - ist halt nicht Petticoat-tauglich. Dafür hat das Kleid ja einen eigenen Unterrock (der natürlich auch noch nicht fertig ist). Andererseits könnte ich auch einen engen Rock draus machen - eine Art Bleistiftrock...
The red circle shows, that the waist is slightly bulging - which should not be happening. the black waistband was an addintion, because the skirt would be way to high above the waist. Since the top didn't end in a straight hem, I had to find my seam myself - and I have to make it even higher at the sides to prevent the bulging.
And I also brood over the shape of the skirt. It doesn't look bad the way it is - it just isn't useable with a petticoat. For that I attached a underskirt to the dress (which isn't finished as well). On the other hand I could thighten up the skirt to a kind of pencil skirt...

Hier seht ihr nochmal den Ausschnitt oben am Hals und die beiden Tragevarianten. Eigentlich war nur die linke Variante vorgesehen, ich könnte mir aber auch die recht vorstellen. Etwas drüberbügeln und schon hält das.
Und hier kann man auch schön das komplette Innenfutter erkennen. Kommt beim Rock dann auch dazu.
Ist noch ein ganzes Stück Arbeit, aber momentan eilt es ja nicht. Ich möchte, dass es hübsch wird und deshalb lass ich mir lieber etwas mehr Zeit.
Here you can see the neckline and both variations to wear it. Actually just the left option was intended, but I also can imagine the right one. Just some quick ironing and it's fixed.
And you can also see the complete lining. Will be added to the skirt as well.
It's still a lot of work, but I'm in no hurry. I want it to be pretty that's why I rather take my time.
