Nähmaschinenauswahl

Hello lovelies,

ich bräuchte mal euren Rat, denn ich möchte mir demnächst eine neue Nähmaschine kaufen.

Bei meiner jetzigen No-Name-Maschine nervt mich hauptsächlich das Fadenwirrwar, dass mir dann natürlich auch noch den Stoff ruiniert. Ich möchte also möglichst eine neue Maschine mit automatischer Fadenspannung. Und ein paar andere Gimmicks wären auch nett^^

Vorhin lief auf HSE24 gerade eine Singer-Präsentation mit der "Curvy". Das klang nicht schlecht, aber irgendwie auch noch nicht super gut. Auf der anderen Seite wird das wohl die preisgünstigere unter meinen drei Kandidatinnen sein.
I need you advice, because I'd like to buy a new sewing machine. My old no-name sewing machine is getting on my nerves, because of the thread chaos which is ruining my fabric as well, of course. So my new sewing machine has to have automatic thread tension. And a few other gimmicks would be nice as well^^
A few hours ago there was a Singer-Presentation on HSE24 about the "Curvy". That didn't sound bad, but on the other hand not that good either. On the other hand this might be the most pricy option from my three canditates.

Sie würde bei ebay 229 € kosten (keine Versandtkosten zusätzlich - schonmal gut). Sie hat 30 Nähprogramme mit 2 Einstufen-Knopfloch-Programmen. Ich fand auch den automatischen Fadeneinfädler toll (Die einfache Rille auf der Frontseite verrät schon, wie simpel das läuft^^), sowie das Drop-And-Sew Unterfadeneinfädelsystem.

Sie HAT automatische Fadenspannung *yeay*

Außerdem hat die "Curvy" Zwillingsnadelfunktion, Nadelstopp immer oben (13 Nadelpositionen), Fadenabschneider und kann auch Knöpfe annähen.

Also, im Prinzip hört sich das ganz gut an. Ich möchte euch aber auch noch die anderen beiden vorstellen. Zunächst die zweite SINGER:
 She would be 229 € on ebay (no extra shipping costs - which is great). She has 30 sewing programms with 2 one-step buttonhole programms. I also liked this automatic needle threader A LOT (the one channel at the front shows how simple this is going to be^^), as well as the Drop-And-Sew bobbin thread needle threader ( oh gosh, I hope that English makes any sense at all... óÒ)

Furthermore the "Curvy" has twin needle function, needle stopp alsways up (13 needle positions), thread cutter and can also attatch buttons.
Well, it actually sounds quite good. But I also would like to introduce you to the other two.
Initially the second SINGER:

SINGER Confidence 7469

Die würde bei meinem ausgewählten ebay-Händler schon 348 € kosten (keine Versandkosten). Das sind über 100 € mehr - das muss ich mir dann schon genau überlegen...

Trotz der U-förmigen Rillenoptik in der Front soll sie ein automatischen Fadeneinfädler haben, aber ich befürchte, es läuft auf etwas mehr Fummelei hinaus.

Die "Confidence" hat 98 Nähprogramme - ich weiß gar nicht, ob ich die wirklich alle brauche.

UND: automatische Fadenspannung - CHECK^^

Außerdem hat sie Zwillingsnadelfunktion, automatischen Nadelstopp und kann ein einem Schritt Knopflöcher nähen (7 verschiedene) und Knöpfe annähen.

Hm, auch nicht schlecht, aber meines Erachtens nicht wesentlich besser als die "Curvy" - zumindest nicht, um die 119 € mehr zu rechtfertigen.

Nun zur "Außnahme" in der Liste, der BERNINA:
This would cost 348 € already at my chosen ebay seller (no shipping costs). This more than 100 € more - I have to think about that really carefully...
In spite of the U-shaped channel at the front it's meant to have automatic needle threader, but I guess it's going to be some more fiddeling.
The "Confidence" has 98 sewing programms - I don't even know if I'll need them all.
AND: automatic thread tension - CHECK^^
Furthermore she has twin needle function, automatic needle stopp and can sew buttonholes in one step (7 different ones) and attatch buttons.
Hm, not bad either, but in my opinion not WAY better than the "Curvy" - et least not worth those 119 € extra.
Now to the "exception" on my list, the BERNINA: 

BERNINA Bernette 20

Die BERNINA im Allgemeinen wurde mir von einer Patientin empfohlen und ich fand die "Bernette 20" nicht schlecht. Ich mag die klare Linienführung und dass alles unterm Klappdeckel verstaut ist.
The BERNINA in general was recommended to my by one of my patients and I thought the "Bernette 20" wasn't that bad. I like the clean lines and that evreything is hidden benath that lid.

Da staubt dann auch nichts so schnell ein und man hat alle Nähprogramme auf einen Blick. Sie würde allerdings 389 € (ohne Versandkosten) kosten - und das ist echt eine Menge Geld für eine Hobbynäherin wie mich.

Die "Bernette" hat 60 verschiedene Stiche, Zwillingsnadelfunktion, halbautomatischen Fadeneinfädler und automatischen Nadelstopp.

Ich weiß gar nicht, OB sie automatische Fadenspannung hat???

Also, so im Nachhinein betrachtet, hört sich die "Curvy" wohl doch am besten an - für mich jedenfalls. Habt ihr andere Erfahrungen gemacht?

Oder benutzt ihr eine ganz andere Nähmaschine und seid total begeistert davon? Dann erzählt es mir^^

The "Bernette" has 60 different stitches, twin needle function, half automatic needle threader and automatic needle stopp.
I don't really know, IF she has automatic thread tension???

Well, in retrospect, the "Cury" does sound best - at least for me. Did you have any different experiences?

Wettenberg 2012 - The Girls

Hello lovelies,

wir waren letzten Samstag mal wieder in Wettenberg zu den "Golden Oldies". Das Wetter war leider etwas unbeständig und zum Ende zu sehr verregnet v.v

Familientreffen am Samstag

Hello lovelies,

wir waren letzten Samstag bei der Familie meines Puuhbärchens zum Grillen eingeladen. Zuvor mussten wir noch einen kurzen Abstecher in Puuhbärchens Autowerksatt machen - Sommerreifen drauf. Ja, jetzt erst... *ts, ts, ts*

Dort sind wir diesem süßen Frenchie, namens Hugo, begegnet:

last Saturday we've been at my poohbears family for a barbeque. Before that we made a short stop at poohbears garage - to get summer tyres. Yes, just now... *ts, ts, ts*

There we met this cute frenchie, called Hugo: 

Aber schnaufen musste er leider schon ganz schön... Trotzdem hätten wir ihn am liebsten entführt und behalten^^

Später saßen wir dann bei Puuhbärchens Schwester im Garten und genossen die spärlichen Sonnenstrahlen.

But he was really wheezing quite a lot... Nevertheless we would love to have kidnapped and kept him^^

Later on we were sitting in the garden of poohbears sister and enjoyed the sparsly sunshine. 

Und zum Ende zeige ich euch natürlich noch mein Tagesoutfit. Das Oberteil hatte ich vor Kurzem geschenkt bekommen, den Rock mag ich sehr gern, weil er luftig leicht und sommerlich ist^^

And at the end I'm showing you my day outfit. The top was a present I got a while ago, and I really like the skirt, because its breezy light and summerly^^

Leider passen Schuhe und Handtasche noch nicht perfekt zum Oberteil, aber vielleicht finden sich ja zumindest  noch ein paar Schuhe in der tollen Farbe^^

Unfortunately the shoes and the handbag don't quite match the top, but maybe I'll find at least a pair of shoes in this great colour^^

Our Last Days In Spain

hier kommt der letzte Urlaubspost mit den gesammelten Bilder unserer zweiten Woche. Das Festival war ja bereits am Sonntag, den 10. Juni, vorbei - wir sind aber noch bis zum 15. Juni in Spanien geblieben und haben uns richtig gut erholt^^

here's the last vacation post with the summarised pictures of our second week. The Festival ended at Sunday, 10th June - and we stayed untill the 15th June in Spain and really relaxed^^  

Puuhbärchen an der Strandpromenade in Calella

Am Montag blieben wir in Calella und sind die gesamte Strandpromenade von einem Stadtende zum anderen abgelaufen - gute 5 km hin und zurück. Gegen Mittag haben wir in der Pizzeria "Terracota" einen Zwischestopp eingelegt.

On Monday we stayed in Calella and walked the whole promenade up and down from one end of the town to the other - about 5 kilometres there and back again. At lunchtime we stopped at the pizzeria "Terracota".

Am Dienstag sind wir dann mit dem Zug relativ früh (kurz vor 9Uhr) schon nach Barcelona gefahren. Die Fahrt hat ungefähr eine Stunde gedauert und war mit 17,20€ für 2 Personen (Hin & Zurück) recht preisgünstig. In Barcelona haben wir uns dann gleich noch Tagestickets für die Metro gekauft, weil wir schon recht weit rumkommen wollten.

Gleich zu Beginn sind wir zur Sagrada Familia gefahren.

On Tuesday we boarded the train really early (right before 9am) to Barcelona. The tour took about 1 hour and was quite low priced with 17,20€ for 2 persons (round-trip). In Barcelona we bought a day pass for the metro right away, because we knew we wanted to see places.

Right at the start we drove to the Sagrada Familia. 

Wir sind eigentlich nur außen herum gelaufen. Der hohe Eintrittspreis und die lange Schlange am Eingang haben uns eher abgeschreckt, auch rein zu gehen. Wir sind dann lieber die Les Rambles vom Placa de Catalunya hinab zum Hafen gelaufen und haben die verschiedenen Eindrücke auf uns wirken lassen.

Es ist wirklich sehr voll und laut dort, aber nicht so vollgepackt, wie ich es mir vorgestellt hatte (manche deutsche Weihnachtsmärkte sind da wesentlich schlimmer...). Aber es gab viele tolle Dinge zu sehen^^ Leider merkte ich da, dass der Akku meines Fotoapparates langsam den Geist aufgab. Also, war ich sehr zurückhaltend, was Fotos anging.

We only circled the building. The high admission charge and the long queue was kind of scaring us away. We rather walked down the Les Rambles from Placa de Catalunya to the harbor and tried to take all the different impression in. It was really crowded and noisy there, but not as cramped as I expected it to be (some German christmas markets are way worse...). But there were some awesome things to see^^ Unfortunately, the battery of my photo camera was about to die. So, I was very reserved about taking pictures.

An der Hafenpromenade angekommen wandten wir uns nach links und marschierte auch noch die Hafenpromenade ab. Der Magen hing uns mittlerweile übrigens schon in den Kniekehlen und weit und breit war kein Restaurant in der Nähe - das gab's erst an der nächsten Straßenkreuzung und war für den schlechten Service viel zu überteuert v.v'

Anschließend sind wir ins "Museu d'Historia de Catalunya", wo wir für 4€ pro Person echt viel zu sehen bekamen. Außerdem gab es in dem Museum viele Videos anzusehen und (was ich immer besonders toll finde^^) viel zum Anfassen und Ausprobieren.

Danach waren wir echt schon k.O. Wieder so viel laufen... óÒ

Wir sind in die Altstadt mit der Metro und haben die Cathedrale umrundet, wo sind dieser tolle Anblick in einer Nebengasse bot:

At the harbor promenade we went to the left and walked down the whole promenade as well. We were actually really hungry by then no restaurant anywhere near us - that awaited us at the next crossing but was way to expensive for that bad service they had v.v'

After that we visited the "Museu dHistoria de Catalunya", where we got a lot to see for 4€ per person. There where many videos and (what I personally love^^) a lot to touch and try out.

Then we where rellay k.O. So much walking again... óÒ

We went to the historic center by metro and circled the cathedral, where we spotted this nice view:

Wir schleppten uns bis zum Placa del Pi und gönnten uns eine weitere Pause in einem tollen Eiscafé. Dort lernte ich den "landestypische"? Eiskaffee kennen - eine Tasse Espresso und ein Glas mit Eiswürfeln... óÒ WTF? Na ja, egal. War aber schon ein netter Wachrüttler... Anschließend genehmigte ich mir noch ein richtiges Eis (Schoko und Mandarine)^^

Wir konnten uns mühselig zurück zum Placa de Catalunya schleppen, wo wir dann ewig auf den verspäteten Zug zurück nach Calella warteten - und dann war der auch noch rappelvoll und die Luft total stickig. BÄH >o<

Vom Bahnhof in Calella aus haben wir uns unsere erste und einzige Taxifahr in Spanien gegönnt - wir waren sooo fertig... Die knapp 1km zum Hotel hätten uns vermutlich den Rest gegeben. So war dann auch der Abend noch relativ erträglich.

Den Mittwoch Vormittag faulenzten wir wieder. Gegen Mittag wollten wir wieder zu "Jordi's Bar", aber die hatten leider geschlossen... Also sind wir ins "Cadillac" gegangen, ein nettes kleines Lokal an einer Ecke in der Fußgängerzone. Das Essen war gut und preisgünstig und der Service klasse. Danach sind wir wieder an die Strandpromenade. Wir hatten mittlerweile erfahren, dass eine weitere Rockabilly-Veranstaltung vom 13.-17. Juni in und um Calella stattfinden sollte. Und dank Internet ermittelten wir den Standort der Tagesveranstaltungen. Strandbar 12 - gleich neben "Santi's". Okay, wir brauchten vielleicht 200m weniger laufen... v.v Dort war die Stimmung ganz nett und die Drinks noch viel toller als bei "Santi's" oder im Hotel.

We dragged ourselves to the Placa del Pi and allowed ourselves a nice break in a ice cream parlour. There I got to know the spanish? ice coffee - a cup of Espresso and one glas with ice cubes... óÒ WTF? (We Germans know it as a milk coffee with one scoop of vanilla ice cream) Well, anyways. It was a nice wake-up call... But afterwards I got myself some real ice cream (chocolate and mandarin)^^

We only got to the PLaca de Catalunya quite wearisome, where we had to wait for the train back to Calella for ages - and then it was jam-packed and the air was stuffy. BAH >o<

From Calella train station back to the hotel we took our one and only taxi in Spain - we where sooo done... Those 1 kilometres to the hotel probably would have killed us. Then the evening was quite realxing after that.

On Wednesday morning we where lazing about again. At lunch time we wanted to visit "Jordi's Bar" again, but unfortunally it was closed... So, we went to the "Cadillac", a nice little restaurant at a corner in the pedestrian area. The food was good and the prices low, and the service was great. After that we got down to the promenade. We came to know that there was another Rockabilly Festival taking place in Calella from the 13th till the 17th of June. And thanks to the internet we could find out the place of the daily activities. Beach Bar 12 - right next to "Santi's". Okay, we now had a walk minus 200 metres... v.v There the mood was really nice and the drinks way better than at "Santi's" or at the hotel.

So viel gab's im Hotel nicht - dafür war der im Hotel auch noch teurer... Da es wieder sehr windig und bewölkt war, sind wir nicht ewig geblieben, sondern haben uns bald auf den Rückweg gemacht. Dabei haben wir diesen hübschen Innenhof eines Lokals entdeckt:

There wasN#t that much in the glas at the hotel - therefor it was more expensive in the hotel... Since it was quite windy and cloudy again, we didn't stay that long and headed back. On our way we spotted this nice back yard of a restaurant:

Klar, da war es wieder sehr sonnig... Das war immer so, wenn wir vom Strand weggegangen sind v.v

Am Donnerstag haben wir es doch nochmal in "Jordi's Bar" geschafft und wirklich vorzügliches Curry gegessen. Puuhbärchen wollte ja unbedingt scharf - und dann war's richtig scharf XD Wir haben uns sehr amüsiert, der Kellner und ich^^ Unterwegs habe ich noch dieses tolle Schild über einem Restaurant gesehen - und fand es sehr... vintage:

At Thursday we where able to visit "Jordi's Bar" again and got some delicous Curry. Poohbear really wanted some hot Curry - and that he got XD We really had some fun, the waiter and me^^ Around town we spotted this nice signboard above a restaurant - and I thought it was qzuite... vitage:

Tja, am Abend hieß es dann Koffer packen. Bzw. hatten wir das schon den halben Tag lang gemacht. Die Abreise am nächsten Tag war um 3:45Uhr morgens angesetzt. Dann sollte uns der Sammelbus zum Flughafen bringen. Die Nacht war äußerst kurz -.-°

Das war's dann aber wirklich von Spanien und unserem Urlaub.

Well, at that evening it was packing time. Actually we where packing all around the day. We had to leave the nbext morning at 3:45am. Then the bus collected all of us to get us to the airport. That night was really short -.-°

And that's really all of it from Spain and our vacation.
