Screamin' Festival, Calella 2012 - Tag 4

Tag 4 (8. Juni 2012)

Der Freitag stand unter dem Motto "The Happy Hula Party". Also, schmiss sich jeder in sein schickstes Hawaii-Outfit für den Ausflug zu "Santi's Bar".
Friday was under the motto "The Happy Hula Party". So, everybody dressed up in their best Hawaiian outfit for the trip to "Santi's Bar".

Das ist natürlich nicht unser Auto - wir sind ja nach Spanien geflogen - aber es bot sich prima als Fotokulisse an. Da es nicht besonders sonnig und warm war an diesem Tag, sind wir bald zurück ins Hotel und hatten eine schöne lange Siesta^^
Abends sind wir kurz nach 21Uhr los und sahen zuerst "The Shookups". Die "Screamin' All Star Doo-Wop Show" war dann schon fast wieder etwas zu laut... Oder wir sind einfach nix gewöhnt. Oropax sind echt toll^^ Nach "Charlie Tompson" sind wir dann so gegen 1:30Uhr zurück ins Hotel.
Zwischendurch kamen mir noch diese interessanten Leute vor die Linse:
 This is of course not our car - we were flying to Spain - but it was perfect as photo background. Since it wasn't very sunny and warm this day, we soon went back to the hotel and had a nice long siesta^^
At the evening we started at about 9pm and firstly saw "The Shookups". "The Screamin' All Star Doo-Wop Show" was almost a little too loud... Or we're not accustomed to anything like this. Oropax are great^^ After "Charlie Tompson" we went back to the hotel at about 1:30am. Inbetween those interesting people got infront of my camera lens:

Ich trug Abends übrigens wieder den Rock von meinem Tagesoutfit und dazu eine weiße Bluse.
Leider hatten wir die "Space Cadets" verpasst - aber die sollten offiziell auch erst um 2:30Uhr anfangen (die Band davor war schon mindestens 15min in Verzug).
Ich spreche hiermit ein Lob an alle Tapferen aus, die tatsächlich den ganzen Abend durchgehalten haben - vermutlich bis morgens um 3:30/4:00Uhr *Applaus*
In the evening I was actually wearing the skirt from my day outfit again combined with a white blouse.
Unfortunately we missed the "Space Cadets" - but they should not be performing until 2:30am officially (and the previous band was already at least 15min late).
I hereby give kudos to all the brave, who actually hung in ther the whole night - prbably till 3:40/4:00am *applause*

Tag 3 (7. Juni 2012)

Wir sind dieses Mal erst deutlich später zu "Santi's Bar", weil uns der straffe Zeitplan mittlerweile doch etwas zu schaffen machte. So haben wir den Vormittag gefaulenzt^^

Vor Ort hatte ich mich mehr auf die vielfältigen Tattoos der Anwesenden konzentriert...

 Day 3 (7th June 2012)

We went wo "Sant's Bar" a lot later, because the tight schedule was somehow exhausing by now. So we lazed all morning^^

At the bar I concentrated a little more on the various tattoos of the attendant crowd...

Als Vorabend-Band gab es dieses Mal "The Telescopes". Da mein Puuhbärchen immer komplette Bandaufnahmen macht, habe ich dazu natürlich gar nichts. Dafür ein schickes Tanz-Video:

The pre-eve band were "The Telescopes" this time. Since my poohbaer is recording full band performances, I don't have anything like this. But I do have a nice dancing video:

Es gab nicht all zu viele schicke Kleider zu bestaunen - oder es war wegen der Band einfach zu voll... Jedenfalls habe ich nur diese Dame gesichtet:

There weren't that many pretty dresses to admire - or maybe it was too crowded because of the band... Anyways I just spotted this lovely lady:

Auch Abends sind wir wesentlich später zur "La Fabrica". Da die Bands aber nicht wirklich pünktlich starten und aufhören, haben wir noch die letzten Minuten der "Barnstompers" gesehen. Später gab es noch Bandprobleme, darum sahen wir anstatt "Eddie Nichols With The Barnshakers" die "Hi-Qs". Danach war es bereits 2:45Uhr! Wir gingen also zurück ins Hotel und verpassten Eddie Nichols...

Die beiden Hallen sind übrigens so groß, dass sich die Menschnmassen sehr gut verlaufen haben und man nie irgendwo eingezwängt war. Zumnindest gab es immer genügend Freiräume - auch für die Tänzer.

In the evening we also went later to "La Fabrica". Since the bands never start or finish on time, we were able to see the last minutes of "The Barnstompers". Later on there were some band problems, so instead of "Eddie Nichols With The Barnshakers" we saw "The Hi-Qs". After that it was already 2:45am! So we went back to the hotel and missed Eddie Nichols...

Both halls are actually that big that all those people just spread and you never feel cramped. Anyways there's always enough space - especially for the dancers.

Ich selbst habe mir nicht viel gekauft. Schließlich war mein Koffer bei der Anreise schon viel zu voll und schwer. Das Puuhbärchen hat sich dafür mit reichlich CDs und neuen Hemden versorgt. Ich habe mir nur ein Top und einen Fächer geleistet.

I didn't buy much myself. After all my suitcase was already too full and too heavy when I arrived. My poohbaer provided himself with lots of CDs and new shirts though. I just afforded a top and a fan.

kommen wir zum nächsten Tag...

Tag2 (6. Juni 2012)

wir kamen an dieser imposanten Kirche vorbei

  Auf dem Weg zu "Santi's Bar" begegneten wir dieser Betty Boop "Statue", was überraschend war, denn bereits auf Malta hatten wir schon ein ähnliches Foto gemacht^^

On our way to "Santi's Bar" we met this Betty Boop "statue", which was suprising, because we took a similar photo on our trip to Malta^^

Bei "Santi's" traten dann noch "Annita & The Starbombers" auf. Zuvor gab's natürlich wieder Musik von den DJs und reichlich Gelegenheit, die schick gekleideten Damen und Herren zu bewundern...

At "Santi's" "annita & The Starbombers" would perform. But before that there was music from the DJs again and much opportunity to admire some dressed up women and men...

"Annita & The Starbombers" bauten am Nachmittag ihr Equipment auf und probten schon mal ein bisschen, bevor es richtig los ging. Dazwischen wurden wir von 4 reizenden Damen unterhalten, den "Cais Sodré Cabaret". Leider ist das Video von ihrer Vorstellung nicht ganz so gut geraten, dass ich es zeigen möchte...

"Annita & The Starbombers" set up their equipment in the afternoon and rehearsed a bit before starting. Inbetween we were being entertained by 4 lovely ladies, the "Cais Sodré Cabaret". Unfortunately the video of their performance didn't turn out that good to show you...

Zurück ging es im Eiltempo. Nach der Band (gegen 18Uhr) blieb uns nicht mehr viel Zeit bis zum Abendessen im Hotel und schon um 21:30Uhr sollte die erste Band in der "La Fabrica" spielen (Fußmarsch nochmal ca. 1km - also knapp 15min). Die Zeit zum Stylen war entsprechend knapp bemessen, aber ich wollte am ersten Abend auch nicht ganz so auf den Putz hauen...

Then we hurried back. After the band (about 6pm) we didn't have much time for the diner in the hotel and the first band was about to perform at 9:30pm at "La Fabrica" (a 1km walk - which means another 15min). So there was little time for styling, but I didn't want to kick up my heels on the first evening...

Leider war das Licht nicht besonders gut, aber was besseres ist uns nicht gelungen. 

Wir haben die "Roy Orbison Tribute Show" gesehen, danach "Little Victor" und später noch "Mike Bell & The Belltones".

Unfortunately the light wasn't very good, but we couldn't get it any better.

Die spielten bis ca. 1:30Uhr - und wir waren mittlerweile etwas fußlahm. Also, ging es zurück zum Hotel, denn wir wollten ja morgens um 8:30Uhr schon wieder zum Frühstück...

They played till about 1:30am - and we got a little weary with sore feet. So, back to the hotel, because we wanted to be at breakfast at 8:30am...

Screamin' Festival, Calella 2012 - Tag 1

Hello lovelies,

wir sind zurück aus unserem Urlaub. 

Wir waren in Calella, Spanien (nördlich von Barcelona), wo dieses Jahr das "Screamin' Festival" stattfand. Leider war unser Flug am Monatg, den 4. Juni sehr spät, so dass wir von dem Tag vor Ort nicht mehr viel hatten...

Wir kamen erst gegen 22Uhr abends an und waren total erschöpft. Zum Glück gab es noch einen kleinen Nacht-Snack vom Hotel - dann sind wir ins Bett gefallen.

Am nächsten Tag ging es dann richtig los...

Tag 1 (5. Juni 2012)

Die Festivitäten tagsüber fanden in "Santi's Beach Bar" am Strand von Calella statt - leider ganz am anderen Ende der Stadt. Wir mussten von unserem Hotel aus gute 2km bis dahin laufen. Da war es wichtig, sich über das Schuhwerk Gedanken zu machen, Ladies^^ Endlich angekommen haben wir uns zu netter Musik unter den Sonnenschirm gepackt und gefaulenzt.

We've been to Calella, Spain (to the nort of Barcelona), were this years "Scremin' Festival" was taking place. Unfortunately our flight on Monday, 4th of June was so late, that the day was done when we arrived...

We checked in at about 10pm and were totally exhausted. Luckily there was a night-snack available - then we fell into our beds..

The next day it really started...

Day1 (5th June 2012)

The jollifications took place at "Santi's Beach Bar" at the beach of Calella - unfortunately at the other end of the town. We had to walk about 2km from our hotel till there. So, it was very important to think about footwear, ladies^^ Finally there we droped ourselves beneath a parasol and lazed around.

Natürlich haben wir uns auch gleich einen Sonnenbrand geholt, der aber erst nach zwei Tagen so richtig zum Vorschein kam...

Am Abend hätten wir nach dem Essen im Hotel nochmal zu "Santi's" laufen können - aber wir hatten dann doch keine Lust mehr...

Ich packe meinen Koffer

Hello lovelies,

und gleich noch ein Post... da ich gerade so schön in Urlaubsstimmung bin^^

Ich hatte mir ja meinen Playsuit mit Sarong-Wickelrock genäht und von dem Musterstoff war noch etwas übrig. Da meinte doch mein Puubärchen, dass er davon auch gern ein Hemd hätte... óÒ Wow. Okay, komplett in dem Muster wäre wohl etwas zu heftig, also habe ich mir eine weiße Tischdecke aus dem Schrank gegriffen und die beiden Stoffe zusammengeworfen. Entstanden ist ein herrliches Sommerhemd - leicht, hell und farbenfroh^^

And another post... because I'm in a vacation mood^^

I had done my playsuit with the sarong-skirt and there was some left-over from the printed fabric. Well, and my poohbear said he wanted a shirt from this... óÒ Wow. Okay, the whole shirt in the printed farbic would be a little too much, so I grabbed a white table cloth from the cupboard and threw those two together. The outcoming is a beautiful summer shirt - light, bright and colourful^^
